Anyone else here who is going to join the clash of November?
I mean, it's pretty much all writers here.

...and I need writing buddies. >_>

i've heard of it. it's been around for a while. i think you write a novel in one month and if you finish one of a certain minimum length, you get some award.

i'd love to try, but now isn't a good time for me. i'm busy with a different long document. good luck to anyone who enters though.

50.000 words in November, jup.
The award is basically just the idea that you did it. And a PDF file certificate that you really did. xD

Although there are a few nice things you can get out of it through sites/companies that support NaNo; CreateSpace offers a free paperback proof copy of your novel. The offer stands until July so that gives enough time to fine-tune it. At least for a major part. And there's also a 50% discount for Scrivener for Windows when it comes out in 2011. I've only been using the trial version for 2 days now but I love the program.

I've signed up and I'm going to give it a shot. I'm fairly confident that I can churn out 50,000 words in a month.

Although this means that I won't be working on any of my fics.

I'm going to have to give this year a pass. I'm a writing major, and right now I have some writing intensive courses, so I don't really have time to churn out a 50000 word novel on top of course work. I've been having enough trouble just updating fics.

I'll be planning for next year though. This is defiantly something that I want to participate in sometime. I'm also willing to help anyone who is planing to take part, be it editing or just helping sort out ideas.
