| hello! I have recently started a new fanfic that revolves around Yorusoi. My idea comes from the book Charlie and the Chocolate Factory by Roald Dahl. As I have been warned by a fellow member, I could be violating the terms of plagiarism. However, my idea is not following the entire plot but I used a small portion of the first part of the book to make my story start out. When all the characters are introduced and they enter the factory, my focus inside the factory will be more of inside Soul Society. Characters will still be 'kicked out' of the story, perhaps a little similar to the story but of different methods. For example I have his idea of Omaeda getting kicked out due to possibly a tummy-ache or some invention gone wrong after he had eaten it in 'replacement' of Augustus Gloop getting stuck inside a pipe etc. I don't feel that it would be appropriate to mark this as a crossover because of the lack of reference to the entire book. Please advice me on what to do. Thank you for the time taken to read this! ^^ | |

| All I can suggest is to approach the author of this story and tell your intent and get their premission. If they okay it, then make sure to note it in your story that you have premission from author. Hope this helps. | |

| Now that I know more about what you intend to do, I think you should be okay so long as you are upfront about your influences and intentions, don't make anything precisely 1:1 between your fic and Dalh's novel, and are careful not to lift any passages from him.
That's just how I feel, though.

That's just how I feel, though. I understand. I'm going to continue with my story but if you do happen to see any 'improper' items, please do inform me would you? Thank you also!
