| It doesn't necessarily have to be a novel, just the last book you read from cover to cover.
For me it was Mary Shelly's Frankenstein. It was required reading for one of my classes. I can't say that I'm particularly fond of it's style. A lot of the earlier horror novels are told in the past tense in the form of letters or journals, and I feel like that form really neuters the genre. However, when it's taken as a cautionary tale, it definitely succeeds.

| I also had to read a book for a class. It was Death of a Salesmen by Arthur Miller. I thought that it was enjoyable at some parts. And I found the unraveling of Willy's life to be interesting. | |

| Galileo's Dream by Kim Stanely Robinson
It was pretty awesome! A great mix of historical fiction and Sci-fi (yeah, you read that right).
And I've nearly finished The Archer's Playlist by Daniel Burden, It was absolutely terrible. An affront to the written word. Made all the worse because I went to school with the guy and I may actually have to see him and try to pretend that I liked his book. Or I could beat him to within an inch of his life with the thing and demand my money back.....

Not at all surprised by how awesome it was. I fully expect the next installment, The Belly of the Bow, to be just as awesome.

| The Griffin and Sabine Trilogy by Nick Bantock
An odd and interesting story told through the written correspondence between two people. It's definitely an experience taking the letters out of envelopes or turning over the postcards to read about what's going on. Very visually appealing, like a picture book for adults.

| Last book I completed reading was Fingersmith by Sarah Waters. Last book I attempted to read and just couldn't finish because it required I suspend disbelief further than I was willing to was One Door Away From Heaven by Dean Koontz. | |

| The Wise Man's Fear, twice over.
I have to say the four year wait for the second day in the trilogy was well worth it. I rather like Kvothe in this one, and have to give the author credit for fleshing him out further, even if I'm not a fan of first-person stories.

| The fourth book in the Song of Fire and Ice series by George RR Martin.
Most of the characters have grown on me, although I still quite dislike Cersei and Littlefinger.
