| I'm just finally getting around to reading this now that the movie's out. I finished reading all of the volumes, and I have to say, it's really awesome.
If you like manga, video games, ninjas, lesbians, and music, it's like the best thing ever.

| Moved to literature since it has nothing to do with anime / manga and IMHO it fits better here.
TBH I never heard of it until now that I looked it up on Wikipedia *g But from what I got it sounds interesting so I might give it a try =)

| So...read the first 2 volumes on Captain's recommendation. So far I only have two complaints; Things are starting to get a bit meta and the art style is a bit too simplistic at times. I find myself confusing characters occasionally.
It's kept me reading though, so that must mean something.

| I quite like the simplistic art style. Although because it's so simplistic, sometimes when Ramona changed her hair style I didn't recognise her...
Knives is my favourite. She wins just for the absoutlely brilliant line : "Chau down!"

| I finished it and was surprised to find that I genuinely liked it. I learned to adapted to the art style, but as the series progressed, the characters became more distinct anyway. And I was glad to see that things didn't get anymore meta than they already were. My only complaint about the whole thing is: - My only complaint about the whole thing:
Ramona's character arc left me unsatisfied. She was the character that needed to change the most, but her issues ended up getting written off by Gideon's experiment and she ended up changing the least. When your whole plot is a metaphor for the baggage people bring into relationships and personal growth, it cheapens your message by making the center of the plot's main problems the result of experiments.
Other than that, I found it a really enjoyable read, and I went into it expecting to hate it. Oh, and Scott and Wallace's L-Word conversation had me tripping the fuck out.
