Hunter X Hunter

written by yoshihiro togashi, the husband of... whoever it was that wrote sailor moon. it is easily my favourite manga/anime series, and i suppose that's saying a lot since the number of anime/manga ive sampled could be counted on one hand.

if youve never read it, i say give it a go.

I haven't read it yet (been meaning to since seen adds of it in mag.s that I get)

I've read it in the beginning because it was part of the Banzai! magazine but didn't like it and stopped. I came to chapter 15 or 17 or so.

I only read it for the Killua/Gon.

i admit that the story is sorta slow, but it really picks up after the hunter exam is over. i think its much better than bleach, in terms of plot, character development, and special abilities.

What mostly kept me away is the style it is drawn in, not the story or characters.
Sure One Piece also has a simple and weird style but I don't like HxH's style - dunno exactly why though ~

i think its cuz the author's more into the cutesy look than serious art like kubo. hahaha but if thats your complaint then i seriously suggest you do NOT read the greed island and chimera ant arc. i swear, he begins to draw fucking scribbles XD

I mean I don't just go for the graphics - of course plot and chars are important just like in games but hm - if the art-style doesn't sit right with me I can't bear to look at it for long ^^;

i know what you mean, about being unable to stand weird art. there's all this hype about one piece so i decided to try and watch it. my friend gave me a link to this episode where ussop (sp?) was crying and it was a pretty serious and dramatic episode. but i couldnt get over his nose and how stupid he looked. XD that scene totally ruined my desire to watch or read one piece.
