Mall Ad controversy

I guess someone complained that the ad was pornography.

The ad in question:

I can kind of see where they are coming from. An ad for body lotion doesn't really require nudity. But, she's also not showing anything, either.

I does seem rather gratuitous. But it did eactly what it was desinged to do; grab attention. There's no such thing as bad publicity. People will be talking about the compony, which will get it exposure and name recongition.

Complete overreaction, it's just a naked body and it's not like you can actually see anything. Now if she was standing there in all her glory and I could see her nipples and stuff, then I'd say there was cause for alarm. This certainly isn't pornographic in anyway and (having quick read the article) won't encourage young boys to become addicted to porn or even encourage the advertiser to test the limitations of what they can get away with in ads. There's nothing wrong with a bit of nudity, especially when it's done tastefully like this was.

I say power to the mall for not taking it down and caving into narrow minded pressure.

And don't your body lotion ads usually have naked people in them? Ours do here in the UK, actually I can't think of an ad that didn't have a naked person in it.

Now this is more horrifying, not only is she naked but she's also old.

100% overreaction. You don't see breasts or other parts.
Good thing they didn't take it down - some people behave really close-minded and stupid IMHO.

It might be showing a little to much skin in my opinion. I mean little kids might walk by and start asking there perants unwated questions. "Momy why is the lady better looking then you?" xD

Yeah but such kids will ask this question regardless if the woman has any clothes on or not.

If you'd see breasts or so that'd be different but like that? Don't see a prob ~
